    In the Department of English, our primary mission is to provide Applied English Language Studies to meet the professional needs of our students. Applied English Language Studies include not only the acquisition of the very high level of English language skills needed to succeed professionally, but also a thorough and critical understanding of the English language and a developed awareness of English communication in multicultural professional contexts.
    There is a clear need in Algeria for graduates with highly developed knowledge of language and communication, along with critical thinking skills, who are able to contribute to a range of professional and business contexts. No matter whether at sub-degree, undergraduate or postgraduate level, the Department of English is one of Batna's key providers of graduates with the kinds of English communication and language skills and knowledge that are so highly prized by the professions.
    Our programmes have innovative features that make them very popular with students, and help them to develop the all-round skills and attributes prized by the University and the society as a whole.

    Your first subject Empty Welcome

    Post by Lily Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:23 pm

    Dear students and teachers ;
    Welcome to the first day of your English department Group! I am really looking forward to working with you dear colleagues. We have much to do, but I expect that we will enjoy and gain much from our work together. The “togetherness” and “group” aspects of learning English using the four skills are very important to what we do because we believe that when done “right” and “well” .
    We intend to keep in touch with our dear students, providing them with all what they may need as documents , lectures ,and why not answering their questions and inquiries ?
    Hence,we will read, write, and speak about issues of theory, research and practice. Students will get to know their teachers and provide you mainly Fourth year ones with the Masters program as well as the faculty news across the University.
    So,feel free to send us your comments , we will be pleased to read them and don't forget that the success of this newly born forum depends of each of us .
    Cordialy
